The property, “Casa da Arcada Vouzela,” consists of a double home (connected but independent), which lies only ten minutes from both Avelar and Penela. Both the IC3, (the road which connects Coimbra with Tomar), and the IC8, (which connects Pombal with Castelo Branco) are easily reached. |

Both of the homes of “Casa da Arcada Vouzela” have been completely restored while retaining much of the original atmosphere and character. Several sorts of wood, particularly “old woods,” have been employed in maintaining the cozy atmosphere. For the sake of convenience, we are dividing the descriptions of the double home into a “ Main” and a “Second” home.

The ground floor of the Main home provides the main entry to a spacious living room including a completely installed kitchen and a study/office room (photo to the right). Leading out from the kitchen is a wooden stairway that leads upstairs where three bedrooms and a bathroom (with a bath) are found. Also here is a connection to the second home. |

The second home (called studio) also enjoys a separate entry, with its own spacious living room including a completely installed kitchen etc. It also contains three bedrooms and a bathroom. Outside is a small terrace. Under the studio there are storage rooms that you have access from the outside. Present owners use the studio for holiday rental throughout most of the year.
